As a Maître Sommelier, you are the point of contact for our guests and you create a unique wine experience that perfectly matches the refined French-Belgian cuisine of our restaurant. You combine your extensive knowledge of wine with joviality and a warm, personal approach. You greet guests warmly, guide them in choosing the perfect wine-food combination and ensure that every meal is an unforgettable experience. With your enthusiasm and expertise, you become the face of Hostellerie Kemmelberg and you help build our reputation as a leading culinary destination.

Job description:

• Personally greeting and advising guests with an eye for detail and a warm appearance.
• Compiling and managing an extensive wine list, tailored to our menu and seasonal products.
• Passionately presenting and serving wines, telling stories about origins, grape varieties and wineries.
• Serving food and drinks with attention to presentation and hospitality.
• Close collaboration with the chef and the dining team to create the ultimate wine and food experience.
• Actively contribute to the visibility and reputation of Hostellerie Kemmelberg, both in the restaurant and during events and tastings.
• Ensuring optimal inventory and cost management of the wine cellar.

Profile

• Extensive experience as a sommelier, preferably in a fine-dining environment.
• In-depth knowledge of wine and other beverages, with a passion for gastronomy.
• Charismatic, jovial and strong in personal interaction with guests.
• Proactive, with an eye for detail and a natural flair for service.
• Willingness to play a prominent role in the identity of Hostellerie Kemmelberg.
• Fluent in Dutch and French, with good knowledge of English.
