Job description:
As Marketing Event Manager, you are responsible for the communication to exhibitors and visitors of our Flemish B2C and B2B construction fairs together with a team of 5 marketers. You follow all the new developments and trends in the sector closely and make proactive proposals.
- As Marketing Event Manager you lead a team of 5 enthusiastic marketers who are responsible for the marketing and communication surrounding the organization of the BIS, Bouw & Reno, Wonen, Futurebuild and Realty trade fairs.
- You monitor their personal and professional growth, coach and guide them and, where necessary, you work operationally within the communications team.
- You are responsible for the 360° communication plan for exhibitor and visitor recruitment of your events: attractive invitations in combination with the right databases ensure that the right visitors come to your fair, user-friendly tools encourage exhibitors to invite their customers and prospects, etc.
- You monitor the communications budget.
- You manage external communication through various channels (website, social media, blog, newsletters, press releases, etc.).
- You work closely with media partners, sponsors and the press: you ensure broad visibility in trade journals (on- and offline), set up great win-win collaborations, are responsible for ordering and following up on media space, and maintain a good relationship with the press, sponsors and media with a view to the long term.
- You are responsible for digital and online communication and work on a strong social media strategy (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Google AdWords, etc.) in which the trade fairs are regularly highlighted.
- Together with your team and the Event Cluster Manager, you determine the content of the various communication media and, together with the central marketing team, you ensure the complete development of, among other things, e-newsletters, website, exhibitor brochures, advertisements, invitations, catalogue, exhibition plan, ...
- You are ultimately responsible for the supporting programme at the various events (content, speakers and partners, projects).
Profile
- You have a bachelor's degree in communications/marketing and at least 5 years of relevant work experience in communications/marketing.
- You feel completely in your element at trade fairs and shine during events. Experience in the event sector, and specifically at trade fairs, is a great added value. Extra kudos for experience in the construction sector.
- As Marketing Event Manager you lead a team of 5 driven professionals. Your leadership experience is essential!
- You are completely at home in the world of digital and social media.
- You work in a structured way & are able to implement result-oriented campaigns and actions. You closely monitor results and KPIs, as well as the proposed budget.
- You are stress-resistant and have a hands-on mentality, you get 'things done' and are flexible in dealing with customers, partners and colleagues.
- You have a healthy dose of creativity and think “out-of-the-box”.
- You have a talent for setting up successful media campaigns and you enjoy tight deadlines.
- You have a smooth pen and experience in writing texts.
- In addition to Dutch, you have a strong knowledge of English and French.
