Within walking distance of the Central Station and several parking garages lies a music and event location with character: the PHIL (formerly Philharmonie). Much is possible here, from intimate gatherings of 75 people or more to multi-day conferences. The Grote Zaal (1,288) is impressive, grand and, because the floor can be leveled and the chairs can be removed, particularly flexible. The Kleine Zaal (408) has a surprisingly warm ambiance, it is every speaker's favorite. The four historical sub-halls exude a rich history and form a beautiful interplay between classical and modern elements. The central meeting place is two spacious foyers, where the 150-year-old outer walls contrast robustly with modern materials such as glass and steel.
A wow feeling upon entering
Behind the historic facade you immediately taste the warm atmosphere that is so characteristic of a historic building. But due to the modern architecture, the building still has a very contemporary look. We have a suitable space for every meeting, each with its own specific character. They can be booked individually, but also in combination with each other. Because we are a music house, we have all the technical materials in-house and the technicians are employed by us. Our permanent team of catering staff always works very well together with our permanent external caterer Vineyard Catering, but another caterer of your preference is also welcome here.
What do you want to organize?
The PHIL is not rented to individuals and not for weddings and funerals. But all companies and organizations are welcome to come to us for a congress, seminar, presentation, (large) meeting, company party, award show, team day, training or recording for a TV or film production.
