This autumn, Flanders will become the epicenter of gastronomy. The World's 50 Best Restaurants 2021 Awards will take place in Antwerp and the UNWTO World Forum on Gastronomy Tourism is coming to Bruges. The Oval Office was appointed to organize both hybrid events.


The World's 50 Best Restaurants

After a one-year hiatus due to the COVID pandemic, The World's 50 Best Restaurants 2021 Awards will take place in Antwerp from October 3-5. As an event management partner, The Oval Office collaborates with The World's 50 Best Restaurants on a three-day 'hybrid' event program. This means that visitors and international press who are able to travel to Flanders will be able to participate in a series of 'live' experiences in Antwerp and that international participants who cannot be physically present can enjoy the programme, including the award ceremony on 5 October. renowned World's 50 Best Restaurants Awards, can follow virtually.


UNWTO World Forum on Gastronomy Tourism

The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), the Basque Culinary Center (BCC), EventFlanders and the city of Bruges have appointed The Oval Office as live communication partner for the organization of the 6th UNWTO World Forum on Gastronomy Tourism, from October 31 to November 2, 2021 With the central theme 'Gastronomy Tourism: Promoting Rural and Regional Development', the event will focus on the enormous potential of gastronomy tourism in terms of job creation, regional cohesion and sustainable growth.


The future is hybrid

For the first time in their history, The World's 50 Best Restaurants and the UNWTO World Forum will take on a hybrid form, allowing attendees to experience them both online and live.
