Databox in the race for a world title
12 Hours of Estoril in Portugal. For this final of the EWC World Endurance Championship, SERT (Suzuki Endurance Racing Team), the official Team of the Japanese brand, in the midst of a battle to win a new world title, has deployed its entire logistical and IT infrastructure to perfectly manage all the needs inherent to an endurance race: real-time consultation of times via the internet, data transmission, teleconferences, media broadcasting.
During this last round, placed under the sign of COVID 19, the health conditions having not allowed the Japanese engineers to come to Europe; the network exchanges have become vital in the organization of the Team: sending the telemetric data of the bike to Hamamatsu, headquarters of the manufacturer, for analysis and optimization of the settings of the bikes, video meetings between the test sessions, transmission of the images of the stand by Webcam.
In total, more than 90 GB of data were consumed during these 4 days for a 16th World Champion title as the final highlight!

Pour cette finale du Championnat du Monde d’Endurance EWC, le SERT (Suzuki Endurance Racing Team), Team officiel de la marque nipponne, en pleine bataille pour décrocher un nouveau titre mondial, a déployé toute son infrastructure logistique et informatique afin de permettre de gérer parfaitement tous les besoins inhérents à une course d’endurance : consultation en temps réel des chronos via internet, transmission de données, téléconférences, diffusion médias.
Lors de cette dernière manche, placée sous le signe du COVID 19, les conditions sanitaires n’ayant pas permis aux ingénieurs japonais de venir en Europe ; les échanges réseaux sont devenus de fait vitaux dans l’organisation du Team : envoi des données télémétriques de la moto à Hamamatsu, siège du constructeur, pour analyse et optimisation des réglages des motos, meetings video entre les séances d’essais, transmission des images du stand par Webcam.
Au total, ce sont plus de 90 Go de données ont été consommés pendant ces 4 jours pour un 16ème titre de Champion du Monde en point d’orgue final !
