Ready for another 25 years of John&Jane
Audiovisual production company celebrates 25 years!
On Monday, December 18, John&Jane will be in the spotlight. The premium audiovisual event company from Ruiselede will then blow out 25 candles. Time for a look back, but also for future plans and dreams with even more high-end productions and even more opportunities to expand. But above all: even more desire to put the Belgian event sector clearly on the map.
The story of John&Jane starts in 1998 with Nico Lameire (founder & managing partner). As a little boy he was fascinated by loudspeakers and lights. He soon started renting equipment through Deltarent and was responsible for technical production at events. Today, Deltarent is part of the John&Jane Group, which he developed into a successful company in the event sector together with Katrien Vermeire (managing director) and Lieven Tacq (managing partner).
“We experienced strong growth in those 25 years,” says Nico Lameire. “Today, the John&Jane Group consists of the rental branch Deltarent and John&Jane, with which we focus on the high-quality technical production of events. What remains unchanged is the passion and know-how with which we all work for our customers.”
Technical partner for events
Today, a total of thirty believers work at John&Jane. “We call them that because they all together radiate the values and standards of our company,” says Katrien Vermeire. “Because you may have as much high-quality equipment in your home, but if they don't put the puzzle together and install each part carefully, then you won't have an event. Each of them is an expert in their field and we invest heavily in training to make them even stronger and take our premium service to an even higher level. John&Jane is not only a supplier of sound, light, video or decor. We are a technical producer and experienced partner for our customers before, during and after the event.”
Future and sector-oriented growth
Over the years, John&Jane grew through acquisitions of other companies and a merger with CRS. Thus, the know-how of stage design was added to the expertise in audio, light and video. “We also have ambitions to expand further in the future. On the one hand through acquisitions, and on the other hand by continuing to raise the bar with every production. We invest in our expertise and in our people so that we can continue to deliver on our long-term partnerships and high customer retention,” says Lieven Tacq. “We also contribute to the events sector. We want to further professionalize this, including through the John&Jane Academy in which we explain the basic principles of the technical side of events. We seize the opportunities that come our way and are very excited about the next 25 years.”

Audiovisueel productiebedrijf viert 25 jaar!
Op maandag 18 december staat John&Jane zelf in de spotlights. Het premium audiovisuele eventbedrijf uit Ruiselede blaast dan 25 kaarsjes uit. Tijd voor een terugblik, maar ook voor toekomstplannen en dromen met nog meer high-end producties en nog meer kansen om uit te breiden. Maar vooral: nog meer goesting om de Belgische eventsector duidelijk op de kaart te zetten.
Het verhaal van John&Jane start in 1998 met Nico Lameire (founder & managing partner). Als kleine jongen was hij gefascineerd door geluidsboxen en lichten. Al snel startte hij via Deltarent met de verhuur van materiaal en stond hij zelf in voor de technische productie op evenementen. Vandaag is Deltarent deel van de John&Jane Group, die hij samen met Katrien Vermeire (managing director) en Lieven Tacq (managing partner) uitbouwde tot een succesvol bedrijf in de eventsector.
“We kenden in die 25 jaar een sterke groei”, zegt Nico Lameire. “Vandaag bestaat de John&Jane Group uit de verhuurtak Deltarent en uit John&Jane, waarmee we focussen op de hoogkwalitatieve technische productie van events. Wat onveranderd blijft, is de passie en knowhow waarmee we allemaal te werk gaan voor onze klanten.”
Technische partner voor events
Vandaag werken bij John&Jane in totaal dertig believers. “We noemen hen zo, omdat zij allemaal samen de waarden en normen van ons bedrijf uitstralen”, vertelt Katrien Vermeire. “Want je mag nog zoveel kwalitatieve apparatuur in huis hebben, als zij de puzzel niet leggen en elk onderdeel zorgvuldig installeren, dan heb je geen event. Elk van hen is expert in zijn vak en we investeren volop in opleidingen om hen nog sterker te maken en onze premium service naar een nog hoger niveau te tillen. John&Jane is niet enkel een leverancier van klank, licht, video of decor. We zijn een technische producer en ervaren partner voor onze klanten voor, tijdens en na het event.”
Toekomst- en sectorgericht groeien
Doorheen de jaren groeide John&Jane door onder meer overnames van andere bedrijven en door een fusie met CRS. Zo voegde zich bij de expertise in audio, licht en video de knowhow van stage design toe. “Ook naar de toekomst toe koesteren we ambities om verder uit te breiden. Enerzijds door overnames, anderzijds door de lat bij elke productie hoger te blijven leggen. We investeren in onze expertise en in onze mensen zodat we onze langdurige partnerships en hoge klantenretentie blijven waarmaken”, zegt Lieven Tacq. “Daarnaast dragen we ons steentje bij aan de eventsector. Die willen we verder professionaliseren, onder meer via de John&Jane Academy waarin we de basisbeginselen van de technische kant van events toelichten. We grijpen de kansen die op ons pad komen en hebben veel goesting in de volgende 25 jaar.”
