After statements in Terzake of 'Vandenbroucke', Grunewald.bar switches to Apéro and End of Year boxes.

I didn't like hearing 'Vandenbroucke' talk in Terzake on Friday.

If you know that traditionally the bidding starts the week before a consultation committee on the government's covid figures, what 'Vandenbroucke' quoted in Terzake comes in hard (certainly with us as a drinks supplier) and the bidding will only increase next week. My words were not cold before Erika Vlieghe was already there. Do not enter into a discussion or wrongly, these are the facts and the figures are unfortunately not going in the right direction ;-(

Our sector was just starting to recover. We ourselves had finished the 'Back to work drinks' in Brussels. People were so happy that they could physically drink a glass with their colleagues. Our agenda was also well filled with trade fairs and our mobile winter bar was really 'hot' in the run-up to the Christmas holidays, we even had to disappoint people, so we couldn't be everywhere in the week before the Christmas holidays. But we also found that there were almost no requests for January and February. And unfortunately we also received cancellations, not yet to that great extent, but still. You felt that the atmosphere of yes, we can go back, was starting to change.

We at Grunewald.bar are now switching back (out of necessity) to the Apéro, year-end and New Year's boxes.

I would like to mention that this is a personal view and post. But one from the experience of the last 18 months (where we saved our company by supplying Apéroboxes) and one from the experience of my wife who works in care, of which she has been working in a Cohort department for the most part since the outbreak. And these departments really are the barometer of our society as it is now (unfortunately).

Wat hoorde ik vrijdag 'Vandenbroucke' niet graag praten in Terzake.

Als je weet dat traditioneel de week voor een overlegcomité omtrent de covid cijfers van de regering het opbod begint, dan komt wat 'Vandenbroucke' aanhaalde in Terzake keihard binnen ( zeker bij ons als drankjes leverancier) en het opbod zal komende week enkel maar oplopen. Mijn woorden waren nog niet koud of Erika Vlieghe was daar ook al. Ga zeker niet in discussie terecht of onterecht, het zijn de feiten en de cijfers gaan helaas niet de goede kant uit ;-(

Onze sector was net terug aan het heropleven. Wijzelf hadden de 'Back to work drinks' in Brussel achter de rug. Wat waren de mensen blij dat ze fysiek met de collega's een glaasje konden drinken. Ook was onze agenda goed gevuld met beurzen en onze mobiele winterbar was echt 'hot' in aanloop naar de kerstvakantie, we hadden zelfs mensen teleur te stellen, we konden dan ook niet overal zijn in de week voor de kerstvakantie. Maar we stelden ook vast dat er bijna geen aanvragen waren voor januari en februari. En helaas kregen we toch ook al annulaties binnen, was nog niet in die grote mate, maar toch. Je voelde dat de sfeer van yes, we kunnen terug, begon om te slaan.

Wij met Grunewald.bar switchen nu terug (uit noodzaak) naar de Apéro-, eindejaar- en Nieuwjaarsboxen.

Graag vermeld ik dat dit een persoonlijke visie en post is. Maar wel één uit ervaring van de laatste 18 maanden (waar we ons bedrijf redde door de het leveren van Apéroboxen) en één met de ervaring van mijn vrouw die in de verzorging werkt, waarvan sinds de uitbraak ze het grootste gedeelte op een Cohortafdeling werkt. En deze afdelingen zijn echt wel de barometer van onze samenleving zoals deze nu is (helaas).
