One thing I have to give you Spronk
That's what a visitor to an event said to me afterwards. One thing I have to say is Spronk, you had the afternoon tight in your hand, but I hardly saw you. And that is a positive thing? I asked him. Yes, that is very positive. Yet that afternoon I had introduced and interviewed the three speakers at the event, Jacco Vonhof, Foppe de Haan and Britt Breure on stage. I had announced the coordinator and chairman of the foundation and discussed everything and managed it properly. I had done my best to pick up the questions from the audience, invitees who did not open their mouths or come up with questions, but with the right approach came with very good questions and comments. For me this was a grateful compliment, because I think it is important that the audience is central and everything that happens on stage should be at their service.

Dat is wat een bezoeker van een evenement tegen mij zei na afloop. Één ding moet ik je nageven Spronk, je had de middag strak in de hand, maar ik heb je bijna niet gezien. En dat is een positief gegeven?, vroeg ik hem. Ja, dat is heel positief.
Toch had ik die middag de drie sprekers op het evenement, Jacco Vonhof, Foppe de Haan en Britt Breure op het podium geïntroduceerd en geïnterviewd. Ik had de coördinator en voorzitter van de stichting aangekondigd en alles aan elkaar gepraat en in goede banen geleid. Ik had mijn best gedaan om de vragen uit het publiek op te halen, genodigden die niet uit zichzelf hun mond open trekken of met vragen komen, maar met de juiste aanpak met hele goede vragen en opmerkingen kwamen.
Voor mij was dit een dankbaar compliment, omdat ik het belangrijk vind dat het publiek centraal staat en alles wat op het podium gebeurt ten dienste van hen moet staan.
