The authentic Sint-Jansberg monastery is a true gem in Flanders. A long lane brings you to the gateway to this unique, historic domain, protected since 1978, which is still surrounded by the original medieval cloister walls.

Located in an oasis of peace, this former Carthusian monastery has various banquet halls, meeting rooms, suites, a 14th century chapel, English gardens and a spacious parking lot. In short, it forms the unforgettable, idyllic setting for exclusive, stylish, perfectly tailored events, seminars and parties.

Banquet halls

The Carthusian Hall, which served as a guesthouse for itinerant monks during the Carthusian period, with the original ceiling of the time of the castle lords can accommodate 140 people for a seated dinner or 200 people for a standing reception or walking dinner. In good weather, the adjoining English garden can be used, which with its facades lined with lavender will immediately make you think of the south of France. Hidden invisibly between the plants, this garden is equipped with the latest audio system, so you can also enjoy a perfect sound outdoors.

The large party room with its beautiful Venetian chandeliers opens onto the other English garden with a view of the unique Chapel. Here you can dine with 200 invitees or hold a reception or dance party for 500 people.

The three castle salons; the Versailles Hall, Flower Hall and Katharina Hall each have their own character and different sizes. For a party in an intimate circle, for receptions or as meeting rooms. We provide the perfect interpretation to make every event a success story.

As untouched by time, the Sint-Jansberg Monastery lies in its divine surroundings, amidst hundreds of hectares of greenery, bordering the valley of the Zwarte Beek, the largest protected nature reserve in Flanders. Far from the world and yet only a stone's throw from the E40, E314 Lummen-Leuven and the E313 Antwerp-Hasselt.

Het authentieke Sint-Jansbergklooster is een ware parel in Vlaanderen. Een lange dreef brengt je tot aan de toegangspoort van dit uniek, historisch, sinds 1978 beschermd domein dat nog steeds door de originele, middeleeuwse kloostermuren omgeven wordt.

Gelegen in een oase van rust beschikt dit voormalige Kartuizerklooster over diverse feestzalen, vergaderruimtes, suites, een 14de eeuwse kapel, Engelse tuinen en een ruime parking. Kortom het vormt het onvergetelijk, idyllisch kader voor exclusieve, stijlvolle, perfect op maat georganiseerde evenementen, seminaries en feesten.

Feestzalen

De Kartuizerzaal, die tijdens de periode van de Kartuizers dienst deed als gastenverblijf voor rondtrekkende monniken, met het originele plafond van de tijd van de kasteelheren biedt plaats aan 140 personen voor een zittend diner of 200 personen voor een staande receptie of walking dinner. Bij mooi weer kan de hierop aansluitende Engelse tuin gebruikt worden, die met zijn met lavendel geflankeerde gevels je meteen in het zuiden van Frankrijk doen wanen. Onzichtbaar verscholen tussen de planten is deze tuin uitgerust met het nieuwste audiosysteem, zodat je ook buiten kan genieten van een perfecte sound.

De grote feestzaal met zijn prachtige Venetiaanse lusters geeft uit op de andere Engelse tuin met zicht op de unieke Kapel. Hier kan je met 200 genodigden zittend dineren of een receptie of dansfeest houden voor 500 personen.

De drie kasteelsalons; de Versailleszaal, Bloemenzaal en Katharinazaal hebben elk hun eigen karakter en verschillende grootte. Voor een feest in intieme kring, voor recepties of als vergaderruimtes. Wij zorgen voor de perfecte invulling om van elk evenement een succesverhaal te maken.

Best day of our lives!

Highly recommended as a location. The business manager is a lady who has helped us enormously with our wedding, she thinks along and nothing is too much. We let the ceremony take place in the chapel and the reception in the garden. The evening party in the hall, the nice thing about this is that there is a bar at the party hall. Too bad we only get married once, but they will definitely see us again.
