The Maritime Museum, built in the Golden Age, has tastefully renovated multifunctional spaces in 2018 with high-tech facilities.

The Open Pleyn, the large historic courtyard of Het Scheepvaartmuseum with its spectacular glass roof, can be used for events all year round in the evenings. The nearly 1,000 LED lights in the roof make it possible to create any desired color and atmosphere. Three spacious rooms, named after admirals Tromp, De Ruyter and Van Heemskerck, with a view of the water, are inspiring meeting locations and are also particularly suitable for conferences, presentations, weddings and drinks.

With you as a client you contribute to the preservation of the maritime collection of the Maritime Museum. Nothing makes us happier than sharing this maritime collection with your guests. Get inspired during your event and visit our beautiful museum. We would like to think with you about how the purpose of your event can be combined with our museum content. This can be done through guided tours, beautiful objects at the table, a virtual reality experience, in game form and workshops.

A special feature of the Dutch museums is that Het Scheepvaartmuseum has its own kitchen and patisserie. From the biscuit with coffee to the smoked fish with our lunch, everything comes fresh from our own kitchen. We emphasize Dutch Cuisine; beautiful regional and seasonal products, a healthy vegetable-meat-fish ratio and inspired by our own Dutch cuisine and food culture. To meet your needs as much as possible, it is also possible to use external caterers, Select Catering is our preferred partner.

Het Scheepvaartmuseum, gebouwd in de Gouden Eeuw, beschikt anno 2018 over smaakvol gerenoveerde multifunctionele ruimtes met high tech voorzieningen.

Het Open Pleyn, de grote historische binnenplaats van Het Scheepvaartmuseum met haar spectaculaire glazen overkapping, is het hele jaar door in de avonduren in te zetten voor evenementen. De bijna 1.000 LED-lichtjes in de overkapping maken het mogelijk elk gewenste kleur en sfeer te creëren. Drie ruimtelijke Kamers, vernoemd naar de admiralen Tromp, De Ruyter en Van Heemskerck, met uitzicht op het water zijn inspirerende vergaderlocaties en ook bijzonder geschikt voor congressen, presentaties, bruiloften en borrels.

Met u als opdrachtgever draagt u bij aan het behoud van de maritieme collectie van het Scheepvaartmuseum. Niets maakt ons dan ook gelukkiger dan deze maritieme collectie te delen met uw gasten. Dit kan door rondleidingen, mooie objecten aan tafel, een virtual reality ervaring, in spelvorm en workshops.

Bijzonder onder de Nederlandse musea is dat Het Scheepvaartmuseum beschikt over zijn eigen keuken en patisserie. Van het koekje bij de koffie tot aan de gerookte vis bij onze lunch, alles komt dagvers uit eigen keuken. We leggen de nadruk op Dutch Cuisine; mooie streek- en seizoensproducten, een gezonde groente-vlees-vis verhouding en met als inspiratiebron onze eigen Nederlandse keuken en eetcultuur. Om zoveel mogelijk op uw wensen aan te sluiten is het ook mogelijk gebruik te maken van externe cateraars, Select Catering is daarin onze preferred partner.
