Bureau voor Reuring and The Oval Office join forces and become one; this makes them the strongest 'experience-driven communication agency' in the Netherlands. The growth is not only in the volume, but especially in the new vision: the agency that really connects through the power of empathy.

The now thirty-person team unites all the expertise that can be expected from a full-service communication agency today: a mix of live, digital, content, social and media. By pulling together, the scale is considerably increased. Moreover, the same strong work is delivered not only in the Netherlands, but via the foreign offices in Belgium and France, without language and cultural borders being an obstacle.

The agency distinguishes itself by putting events and activations at the center of its campaigns and strives for a real connection between brands and their audience. Beautiful brands such as Randstad, Google, Bol.com, Nintendo, NN and Snapchat have been able to find their way to them for years. It is no coincidence that these are all brands that are constantly on the move and always one step ahead of the market. The agency can now serve these types of clients even better thanks to its broader expertise, its international network and its unique methodology based on the power of empathy.

The Oval Office - an office with a buzz

In the Netherlands, the position of Managing Director has been filled since November by Nicolette Vink, former Head of Productions at IDTV+.

"I am convinced that with all the talent brought together we will be able to make even more beautiful and relevant work than before. I hope that with my many years of experience in both live and digital content I will be able to contribute to the development and ambitions from the office”.

Nicolette can count on a strong Management Team; 3 powerful women who have each been a permanent fixture in both offices for years: Lotte Barends, Lot Aler-Verbij and Patricia Vergeer.

Bureau voor Reuring founder Christine van Dalen will take on the role of Chief Knowledge Officer in the new organization. An unusual title that represents a crucial role:

“In 15 years of making Reuring I have surrounded myself with creative minds and smart people with the heart in the right place. With great work and strong relationships as a result. Now that team has become twice as big and is playing on the international stage. I get to help the Officers into the next phase and I'm very proud of it!"

Since September, the entire team has been housed in the office in the Diamantfabriek on the Tolstraat, in the heart of Amsterdam. From now on there will be one name on the facade: The Oval Office. But the buzz, it will never go away!

Breed, internationaal en empathisch

Bureau voor Reuring en The Oval Office bundelen hun krachten en worden één; hierdoor vormen ze het sterkste ‘experience-driven communicatiebureau’ van Nederland. De groei zit hem niet enkel in het volume, maar vooral in de nieuwe visie: het bureau dat écht verbindt via de kracht van empathie.

Het nu dertig koppige team verenigt alle expertise die vandaag van een full-service communicatiebureau kan worden verwacht: een mix van live, digital, content, social en media. Door samen op te trekken wordt de schaal aanzienlijk vergroot. Bovendien wordt niet alleen in Nederland, maar via de buitenlandse kantoren in België en Frankrijk hetzelfde sterke werk geleverd, zonder dat taal- en cultuurgrenzen een hindernis vormen.

Het bureau onderscheidt zich door events en activaties centraal te stellen in haar campagnes en streeft naar échte verbinding tussen merken en hun publiek. Mooie merken als Randstad, Google, Bol.com, Nintendo, NN en Snapchat weten al jaren hun weg naar hen te vinden. Niet per toeval zijn het allemaal merken die volop in beweging zijn en steeds een stapje voor op de markt. Het bureau kan dit type klanten nu nog beter servicen dankzij een bredere expertise, haar internationale netwerk en de unieke methodologie gebaseerd op de kracht van empathie.

The Oval Office - een bureau met reuring

In Nederland wordt de functie van Managing Director sinds november ingevuld door Nicolette Vink, voormalig Head of Productions bij IDTV+.

"Ik ben ervan overtuigd dat we met al het samengebrachte talent nog mooier en relevanter werk zullen kunnen maken dan voorheen. Ik hoop dat ik met mijn jarenlange ervaring zowel op het vlak van live als digital content mijn steentje zal kunnen bijdragen aan de ontwikkeling en ambities van het bureau”.

Nicolette kan daarbij rekenen op een sterk Management Team; 3 krachtige vrouwen die elk al jaren vaste waarden vormen in beide bureaus : Lotte Barends, Lot Aler-Verbij en Patricia Vergeer.

Bureau voor Reuring oprichter Christine van Dalen neemt in de nieuwe organisatie de rol van Chief Knowledge Officer op zich. Een ongebruikelijke titel die staat voor een cruciale rol:

“In 15 jaar Reuring maken heb ik me omringd met creatieve geesten en slimme types met het hart op de juiste plek. Met mooi werk en sterke relaties als resultaat. Nu is dat team 2x zo groot geworden en bespeelt het ‘t internationale toneel. Ik mag de Officers de volgende fase in helpen en ik ben er beretrots op!”

Sinds september huist het hele team in het kantoor in de Diamantfabriek aan de Tolstraat, hartje Amsterdam. Daar staat voortaan nog één naam op de gevel: The Oval Office. Maar de reuring, die zal nooit verdwijnen!

Herpositionering The Oval Office: 'Experience Driven Communication'

The Oval Office is developing into a fully-fledged creative communication agency, but one with its own vision: 'Experience Driven Communication'. To reinforce this step, the strategic and creative team will be expanded and the communication expertise sharpened. The Dutch team, together with their Belgian colleagues, will create striking communication campaigns where unique experiences are at the heart.

More than ever, the power and importance of personal experiences became apparent during the corona crisis. Bart van Wanrooij, Managing Director: “Suddenly we were no longer allowed to get (too close) together, all live events stopped and many of us could no longer even see their own parents. As a result, everyone discovered even more that we need each other and that we want to share experiences that matter. This applies not only from person to person, but also from person to brand. The Oval Office Nederland wants to build on this more than ever with strong campaigns and special experiences. To ensure that the maximum is achieved from that relationship for both parties. Hence 'Experience Driven Communication'. ”

Expertises in external and internal communication

In order to translate this vision into successful 360 ° communication campaigns, the agency strengthens its communication expertise. Van Wanrooij: “In recent years, the demand for the use of experience communication as part of long-term campaigns has steadily increased. The Oval Office has played a pioneering role in this. The Oval Office ontpopt zich tot een volwaardig creatief communicatiebureau, maar wel eentje met een heel eigen visie: ‘Experience Driven Communication’. Om deze stap kracht bij te zetten wordt het strategisch en creatief team uitgebreid en de communicatie-expertises verscherpt. Meer dan ooit werd tijdens de corona-crisis de kracht en het belang van persoonlijke ervaringen duidelijk. Bart van Wanrooij, Managing Director: “Plots mochten we niet meer (te dicht) bij elkaar komen, stopten alle live evenementen en konden velen van ons zelfs hun eigen ouders niet meer zien. Daardoor ontdekte iedereen nog meer dat we elkaar nodig hebben en dat we ervaringen willen delen die er toe doen. Dat geldt niet alleen van mens tot mens, maar ook van mens tot merk. Daar wil The Oval Office Nederland meer dan ooit aan bouwen met sterke campagnes en bijzondere ervaringen. Om te zorgen dat uit die relatie voor beide partijen het maximum wordt gehaald. Vandaar ‘Experience Driven Communication’.”

Expertises in externe en interne communicatie

Om deze visie concreet om te zetten in succesvolle 360° communicatiecampagnes versterkt het bureau zijn communicatie-expertises. Van Wanrooij: “De afgelopen jaren nam de vraag naar het inzetten van belevingscommunicatie als onderdeel van langlopende campagnes steeds verder toe. The Oval Office heeft hierin een voortrekkersrol gespeeld. Zo ontwerpen we vandaag de dag employee engagement campagnes die reiken van Azië tot Amerika, in maar liefst 12 talen. Uiteraard vraagt dit om specifieke in-house expertises zoals projectmanagement van content en media inzet en die van digital & social producties. Die expertise hebben we nu in huis. Binnenkort wordt ons team verder versterkt door een ervaren Communications Director; ze zal vanaf midden november voor onze opdrachtgevers klaar staan om hen als strategisch sparringpartner te ondersteunen bij het creëren van authentieke en effectieve merkcampagnes.”

Ook de wijze waarop het bureau naar communicatievraagstukken kijkt is verder geëvolueerd. Van Wanrooij: “De baseline ‘We make people experience brands’ breiden we uit met ‘We make brands experience people’. Om duidelijk te maken dat succesvolle communicatie meer dan ooit tweerichtingsverkeer is. Mensen stonden altijd al centraal, maar dan wel vaak als consument. Experience Driven Communication kijkt naar de mens als volwaardige deelnemer aan het economische, maatschappelijke en culturele leven met eigen overtuigingen, waarden, voorkeuren, doelen en behoeften. Ook in communicatie moet het voor ons in de eerste plaats gaan om mensen te inspireren, te raken en hen de meerwaarde van merken te laten beleven. En omgekeerd. Alleen op die manier bouw je aan duurzame relaties"

Samen met Ronald Bekius en het live en activatie team ontwerpen we holistische campagnes waarin de kracht van content en storytelling, digital & social, media, loyalty experiences, events en brand activations maximaal tot uiting komen.
